Course OutlineHuman Dynamics for Empowering Indigenous Communities. This is an intensive 2 - 4 day workshop designed to enable participants to understand the cultural and social dynamics at work in communities that contribute to the many problems faced by Indigenous people. Participants in this course will gain a much clearer understanding of what is really causing the failure of programs, communication and education in Aboriginal communities. They will be equipt to better understand and deal with the conflict and high stress experienced by personnel working in Indigenous communities. This course is not just about understanding Aboriginal people but about understanding ourselves as humans and how we respond and think across racial, cultural and peer boundaries. How does history, culture, law and social pressure impact our interactions? What is the primary dynamic working against us today in creating true self-determination within Indigenous communities? And how do we avoid and improve these damaging dynamics? Course ContentsLike all our Workshops we model for your effective education and communication in action through our presentation. Every attempt is made to understand your particular needs and answer the specific questions as they become most relevant to you. Thus there is no set curriculum, program or order. This is a layout of the contents from which we draw for this course. Problem solving and opportunity for questions occurs regularly during the day. Summary of Contents
