Cultural awareness short courses

Short courses less that a day, to provide the basics in beginning to understand indigenous perspectives, culture and communication barriers, and to improve intercultural skills

Intensive Courses

Titles include:

• Cross-Cultural communication
• Human dynamics in Indigenous communities.

Two days or more, courses on Cultural Awareness, Cross-cultural communication, capacity building and Cross cultural education in greater depth. These courses are extremely flexible and are easily adapted to any area of interest, ie. Health, law, education, business development etc. These courses can be used to add to a Cultural Awareness Short course or to include the Short course contents.

Advanced workshops

Titles include:

• Community Development skills
• Empowerment and Capacity building

These are intended to follow on from the Intensive courses and are designed to be implemented with a small group, usually key staff from management and the field, allowing them to analyse and go deep into the practical application of methodologies for the empowerment of Indigenous people and their communities.

Who are these courses for?

For policy makers to individuals who are directly delivering services to Aboriginal people and their Communities.

Many Indigenous people have also found these courses very instructive giving them answers to many unanswered questions.

These courses are also of great interesting to people who just want to know more about Aboriginal people or who want to discover culture in all of society.

How are they presented?

These courses are run as interactive workshops or seminars. The course are flexible and we take pride in training you according to the your needs rather than to a strict curriculum. Instead we lead participants, through interactive dialogue, to improved skills and understandings in issues relevant to their role with indigenous people.
