Please direct this donation to Tim & Kama Trudgen of The AHED Project. #4323 About Tim and Kama
Tim and Kama are based in Galiwin'ku, North East Arnhem Land, NT. They aim to create opportunity for local Indigenous people to increase the amount of control and purpose in their lives, by breaking down the barriers for people to succeed in their own endeavours. Tim has worked with Yolngu people for nearly ten years, as an adult educator in areas of health, economics, business and governance. He knows the local language and uses relevant cultural concepts in his education to build bridges in knowledge between the two cultures. Kama is a medical doctor who has stepped sideways to community development, to address the underlying issues for remote Indigenous people. She has been learning the local language for a few years now. In their work in the North East Arnhem Land region Tim and Kama identified the need for a service that met people where they were at, and helped them to overcome the barriers to where they wanted to go. They designed the AHED service, and were invited by Elders in Galiwin'ku to pioneer it in their community. How your donation helpsDonations not only support Tim and Kama, but free other AHED funds to pay for other vital roles, such as;
